My name is Dinah.
I am the chapter leader for Sidewalk Talk in Oswego, NY USA
This is where you register to join us Fridays from 3:00-4:00 pm Eastern time for an hour of connection. This group is open to trained Sidewalk Talk listeners, those curious about Sidewalk Talk and anyone who just wants to be heard. You may join us once or every week.
What to expect: We generally spend a few minutes connecting as a group. People share their reasons for joining us only if they feel comfortable doing so. We then pair up in separate "rooms" to listen and be heard. If you are not a Sidewalk Talk trained listener and join us to be heard, you will be paired with someone who is an experienced listener.
In the spirit of Sidewalk Talk's mission, when someone shares, we will honor their experience by reflecting back what they share and validate their experience. We will not offer advice, attempt to fix or share our own similar experience.
If you want to become an "official Sidewalk Talk listener" and learn the skills we use on the sidewalk, you can become a member for a sliding scale donation and then get trained on deepening your practice of listening.
